DYS
provides education and support to children with diabetes, their
families, and the greater Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan community.
DYS was facing a funding crisis - a major program, the much-needed
day camp for 6- to 9-year olds, had already been discontinued
and other programs were in jeopardy if the organization could
not raise significant funds immediately. A "friendraiser" was
organized to spread the word about the program and recruit volunteers
and potential board members to assist in raising the necessary
funds.
We branded the "Sugar Buzz" event,
and in only four weeks, produced invitations, tickets, fliers,
signage, information cards, name badges, posters, water bottle
labels, and a video telling the DYS story in the kids' own words
- a powerful testimony to the value of the program.
Lots of "buzz" was
produced at the Sugar Buzz, as people stepped forward to offer
their time, talents, and dollars to the program, after becoming
aware of the need and the great service provided by DYS.
